I’m in my first year of college and I decided to be a commuter student because I had enough financial aid to cover my first year tuition/ payment for books. I really don’t want to be a commuter student anymore. : p I’m thinking of living in a dorm next year but I really didn’t want to take out loans. If I do, college will be nearly twice as much each year and I’m sure I will have to take out loans. If I don’t get financial aid (from FAFSA or academic scholarships) to cover the extra cost of housing and food I will have to take out loans for about $8,000 a year. This will make me in debt $24,000 after graduation. : ( I’m going to try and get enough financial aid to cover it. I tried using scholarshipexperts.com but it’s an aggravating website, they haven’t even posted the winners from several months ago.

Should I live on campus or no? I’m missing out on a lot of things from living off campus but I don’t want to go into debt. I’m not sure what to do… Any ideas? What are other scholarships I can get, not from sites like scholarships.com or anything, but other ways. Thanks for all the help and reading this. I’m just confused on what I should do.

nobody knows what they are talking about, it’s all cut and paste b.s. or somebody trying to get more points on this site.
ultimately, the interest rate will be as good as the credit score of my co-signer is, and the “student” part of my loan appears to be a non-factor, as the money isn’t for fees, books or living costs.
