grego8422 asked:

I made some questionable decisions to attend an aviation school, then eventually graduated from a business school… I have a private pilots license and an array of skills. I’m seeking some adventure in my life and would be willing to listen to any propositions folks might have to pay off my loans in exchange for a term of service/ unique job opportunity etc… I am a multi-faceted individual with a diverse set of skills.
Ideas?
SSMC….You’re a genius. Obviously not the answer I was looking for. I’m looking for something creative. I already make close to 55k a year. Clearly, you’re not in a position to pay them back. I wasn’t looking for “how” to pay them back. I can figure that out myself. Interest, principal, I get the idea. Try being a little more clever!!

Credit Debt Consolidation

Zizzler asked:

I have been going to community college for 2 years now, and I am almost maxed out on credits that will transfer over to a university. I have been working full time to pay for community college and now I am going to HAVE to transfer to a university to finish my degree (accounting/finance double major). The thing is, I don’t want to take out more than what I can pay on my current salary (20K a year), since a job is not guaranteed when you graduate now. How much should I take out in loans or would be a conservative amount? Thanks!

Consolidating Credit Card Debt

Sarah asked:

Ok so I realize now this was a STUPID thing to do so please no critical comments. I’m working this summer (about 28-35 hrs/wk)and literally putting all my paychecks towards my bills and gas except all I’m doing is paying off high interest and cannot seem to lower my balance on my credit cards. When I start school at the end of August I will only be working 11 hours in between classes on campus so how am I suppose to pull this off other than getting another job?? I have $2900 on a Sears mastercard alone with 23% apr and I wanted to do a 0% balance transfer…i researched it for a while, but when I apply I don’t get accepted. I think of how many people have thousands and thousands of debt and think maybe my situation isn’t AS BAD as I’m making it out to be. But it is! I’m 21 and stressed about financial issues rather than living my life AND I’m ruining future possibilities for loans, ect by ruining my credit score. All my cc have at least 16% VARIABLE apr. How do i get rid of them asap?
Come on people…I’m talking real advice here….

Debt Consolidation Company

YadaYadaYeah asked:

What is a ridiculous amount of student debt? I’m looking at Notre Dame, University of Michigan (out of state) and Northwestern, so probably 40-50k a year. I am unlikely to get any aid because of my dad’s income (except maybe some merit-based from Michigan?) and I know he’ll give me trouble about paying the full 40-50k, so if I took out 10k a year in loans to “contribute” and did a (most likely) 5 year program, would 50k student debt be absolutely unmanageable?
I wanted to say in my original post that I plan on pursuing a degree that leads to a reasonably high income. Something in architecture or real estate, engineering, maybe finance (my dad’s an investment banker at a pretty prestigious firm so I would have a foot in the door…) but I thought that that would be sort of silly sounding–of course I “plan” on making money. But anyway, I realize things might be rough initially getting out of school, but I still think it will be worth it.

Student Loan Debt Consolidation
