I am getting a science degree and am about 70K in debt. I am applying to nursing school – a school I have been accepted to before and on scholarship. I may not get a full scholarship from this school. I was thinking of taking a year off, living at home and working two jobs to start paying my loans and saving to pay my tuition. If I am accepted to this school should I do the year off plan or do the 15 month program immediately even if i have to take out a couple of loans and start my nursing career sooner?
by the way, the 15 month program will leave me with a second bachelors in nursing

I have never missed a payment but i cannot get approved for a consolidation loan because I have “excessive financial obligations”. We haven’t owned our house for very long so there is not much equity in it yet.
