I know I have to repay them, the loan did come to me at all anyways they went to the school I did get anything out of these loans not even a financial-aid check! I have never been to a school where they take your money. You know the FBI is doing an investigation on this school called ITT Technical College, but I did not find this out until after I left the school. look it up on-line if no one believes me. Where do I go from there? I have written letters to the gov. or someone I thought could help me I guess I was wrong huh?

Credit Card Debt

joystar8 asked:

NCO Financial letter, regarding student loan, states “We are in the process of reviewing your financial background to determine if you have sufficient assets to pay…” I reside in North Carolina. Can they take money out of my bank account? There is no judgment that I am aware of. The only asset I have is a bank acct with less than $1,000 to cover my bills–except for an old car, worth nothing. Should I close my checking acct? or keep minimal balance? I’m hanging on by my fingernails financially as it is, self-employed, living hand to mouth. I don’t want to close my bank account, but should I? Thanks for any help from someone who knows the law in North Carolina on these matters. Appreciative of any information or advice from someone with knowledge and experience. thanks!

Consolidate Credit Card

derbs10 asked:

I am 15,000 in cc debt and 89,000 in student loan debt, both federal and private loans. I did loan consolidation for my student loans, but cannot pay all of the debt that I have. I am not behind as of right now, due to the fact that I deferred my loans. I pay the minimum amount on my cc’s. I dont own a house or even my car, its a lease. I dont know what to do. I looked into bankruptcy online, and found that if you can prove undue hardship with your student loans, they could be filed a well, its just not as easy as it used to be. I dont know how I am going to pay everything off. I do not spend as much as I used to and do not use my ccs anymore. I am a teacher and do not make that much income. I also looked into cc consolidation companys but have heard nightmare stories about them taking your money and not making the payments. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to control and pay my debt. Thanks!

Pay Off Credit Card Debt

Vanessa asked:

There is only one bad thing in my credit report and that is one student loan that is in default. I took this student loan over 6 years ago. It has been hunting me every since I drop out of College. I have made efforts to pay it, but I have been unemployed for a year now. The last payment I made was a year ago and I just received a letter saying that it is still in default status. I called the collection agency and told them my situation. I am unemployed, currently staying at home with my kid while I take classes online to get my degree. I told her we do not have the money to pay the balance. She wasn’t very helpful. I even told her that I want to make the effort to make payments, but I need a job and I can’t find one at the moment. I told her I will start making payments as soon as I start working.
Anyway, I was wondering if it’s possible to make a debt consolidation with my loan and my husband’s student loan. His student loan is also in default.
Any good info will be appreciated.

Private School Loan Consolidation
