I am 3.5 months pregnant with my first child and I would love to be a “stay at home mom”. The problem we are having is that money will be tight if I do not work full time. My husband makes enough money to cover the major expenses but our debt is high and we use my income to pay the debt. I really would like to go to graduate school. Would you all suggest that I start the program next year taking student loans to help w/ the debt that we have? This way I can stay home the majority of the time (except during class time) as well as obtain my masters and use the student loan to help with bills that have outrageous interest rates. Any advice/suggestions?
I don’t plan to be a stay at home mom forever. This is just a temporary thing until the baby is older. With a master’s degree I can earn more money. I’m a school teacher making crap for what I do!! W/ the masters I get a 12% pay increase!
